Whatever you do, please provide a hardware override to disable any difference.

Any modification or enhancement is a possible source of incompatibility, doesn't matter how remote it could be. Ideal emulation (or clone) IMHO, should be that there is no way to distinguish between the core and original hardware, even if you or me would try on purpose.

So some kind of user configuration should be able to disable turbo, extra video features, etc.
EclaireXL - Developer: RE: Curious if progress is being made on this project any longer?http://www.64kib.com/redmine/boards/1/topics/213?r=215#message-2152017-08-29T11:46:06Zijor

As a developer myself I can tell you that this is very normal. There are periods that the developer is too busy and/or not too motivated. That doesn't mean it is dead or abandoned. I was meaning to contribute for the project myself, and already has the board and a case. But life sometimes takes other priorities :)
EclaireXL - Developer: RE: XC12 power usage?http://www.64kib.com/redmine/boards/1/topics/39?r=210#message-2102017-08-07T23:54:35Zijor

No, I wasn't aware about such an issue. Clicking on that link asks me for user and password???

So I guess smartphones don't care too much because they don't use the 5V directly, they just charge the battery. And even if not, probably everything works at lower voltage. But shouldn't be the same with tablets?

I also guess we don't care too much internally. For joysticks shouldn't matter too much either, probably not even for ROM cartridges? Unless, of course, the 5V voltage level is really too bad.
EclaireXL - Developer: RE: SIO devices which use clockin/clock out?http://www.64kib.com/redmine/boards/1/topics/68?r=209#message-2092017-08-07T23:44:52Zijor

Yes, that thread. IIRC, at some point somebody else made additional tests with same, or similar results.
EclaireXL - Developer: RE: SIO devices which use clockin/clock out?http://www.64kib.com/redmine/boards/1/topics/68?r=204#message-2042017-08-05T18:41:38Zijor

The Indus drive uses SIO clock out. I'm not very familiar with the Indus and I don't know the details, but I guess it uses the clock for automatically detecting the turbo baud rate (hence the name syncromesh?). There should plenty of information about it at Atariage.

I'm not sure any device uses SIO clock in. Some years ago I performed some tests trying to transmit to Pokey using synchronous mode and I found out is not very reliable. It works, but every so many bytes I got an error. Again, there is a thread at Atariage with the details and the results.

Interesting if Joe Decuir has any insider info about this (apparent) Pokey failure.
EclaireXL - Developer: RE: XC12 power usage?http://www.64kib.com/redmine/boards/1/topics/39?r=203#message-2032017-08-05T18:33:58Zijor

But many/most current USB power adapters provide much more than 0.5A. Most smartphone adapters are currently 2.0A.
EclaireXL - Developer: RE: Which case are you getting?http://www.64kib.com/redmine/boards/1/topics/8?r=202#message-2022017-08-05T12:15:04Zijor

I received my board and honestly, it looks awesome. But I was fool enough not to purchase a case when I was at the US, and now I have difficulties finding a bare case on my country. The mostly come with PSU and/or fan.

I understand board size is standard, even the I/O panel size is standard and it and should fit any mini-ITX case, right?

My only concern is the extra height when stacking the sub board. Or it still should fit any mini-ITX case?

I can get something like this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156340
Or like this: http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00002373

Both seem too high, right? Otherwise the only smaller option I can find here is: http://www.sentey.com/es/ss5-2514
